About Me

Are you feeling stuck, unfulfilled or simply unhappy?  Taking the first step to finding a safe space and support can be the difference that helps you find more joy in your life. I am here to help support you through your process of emotional healing.  As a Marriage and Family Therapist, my goal is to support you with love and compassion.

As an immigrant myself from El Salvador I understand how it is to deal with immigration issues, loss, culture shock and acculturation.  We can sometimes be unaware of how certain experiences in our life impact us. Grief can be experienced in a wide range of ways not just by death but also as we move through different chapters/transitions in our lives including shifts in our home environments, friendship changes, career and job transitions and other major life changes.

I bring over 20 years of extensive experience in the mental health field, with experience in different settings including community clinics, non-profit organizations, and schools.  I have also had a wide range of roles including residential counselor, mental health crisis responder and more recently I have worked as a therapist and clinical supervisor for interns.

Presently, I am focused on private practice through El Molino Family Therapy, PC. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief/loss and trauma. I would like to invite you to explore deeper into your past and help you discover what barriers including trauma may be impacting you from finding and embracing your true self.

“Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you- all of the expectations, all of the beliefs- and becoming who you are." - Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D.
